Tonight's reading was about Debbie's and Phil's friend Lenny. Lenny is a extremely smart boy, who works part time in at a garage. At the garage, Lenny's jobs are to empty the trash, but when he is lucky he gets to change the oil in cars, and spark plugs. The reason Lenny became interested  in cars is because when Lenny was younger, he would always read the encyclopedias that his mother, Edie, would buy for him at the A&P. He would read very page in the book and remember all of the information he read about. One day, Lenny was in the basement, when his dad came down, and his dad saw him playing with a vacuum cleaner. Lenny's dad did not know what his son was doing, until the vacuum was taken apart. In about an hour, Lenny's mother and Father heard the vacuum on downstairs. When they saw that Lenny could take apart and put back together a vacuum, right away they called the garage looking for a job for him.
